The first step to employment is always an application. When you find a vacancy you are interested in, click on the application form, fill in your contact details and attach your CV and cover letter. Once you have submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation by email. Missing the confirmation of your application? Start by checking your spam and contact us at jobb@bohus.se in case of further problems.
When Bohus receives applications for a vacancy, we make a selection of the candidates who are considered the best fit for the role. Then those who are relevant are invited to a first interview. In some cases, we also have a short telephone interview in connection with this step.
The first interview takes place at one of Bohus' offices. The interview is held by one of our colleagues from the HR department who works with recruitment at Bohus. At the interview, you will be asked to tell us more about yourself and answer questions about your experience. You will also learn more about the role you have applied for, Bohus as a company and what is important to us in the recruitment you are involved in.

Work test
When recruiting for some of our roles, we use work tests. This is to check that you have the skills required for the position you have applied for. This could be, for example, knowledge of the Swedish language or your ability to handle a specific situation that could have arisen in the role. The tests are done on the spot during the first interview and form a basis for further discussions about the position.
After the first interview, we will select the candidates deemed most suitable for the role and invite them to a second interview. At the second interview, you will meet the manager responsible and learn more about the role. You will also be asked about your experience and given the opportunity to tell us more about yourself.
It is usually the responsible manager who calls and schedules a second interview. Try to be available for phone calls and call back if you have missed calls or messages from us.
You are welcome to bring contact details of references to a first interview. We will always inform you before contacting a reference and may ask for additional references if necessary. Please feel free to provide both former managers/supervisors and colleagues as references, but if possible avoid providing people with whom you have a personal relationship. Before employment, we conduct a background check.
Once all recruitment steps have been completed, employment is offered to the candidate deemed best suited for the position. Bohus has collective agreements where conditions, such as salary and benefits, are in many cases agreed. If there are other conditions or requirements linked to the position you have applied for, you will be informed and given the opportunity to discuss this before the employment contract is signed. Once we agree, we will sign the employment contract, confidentiality agreement and a job description.
