From temporary worker to vending machine technician - meet Kristian at Bohusbutikerna!
Say hello to our colleague who always has a smile on his face and a house song playing in the car! 29 years young and with three years at Bohus in the luggage, he has made a real journey - from substitute in local care to the first employee at Bohus's newest business area - Bohusbutikerna!
Helping out
The best part of the job, according to Kristian, is being able to help customers with what they need:
- Whether it's food, drink or an ice cream in the summer heat!
Driving around in the big refrigerated truck with electronic dance music for company is not bad either. But it's meeting customers that really makes the job fun.
- I like talking to people, hearing what they think about our products - and what they did at the weekend!
When asked what makes Bohus a good place to work, he quickly replies:
- You are listened to. If you have ideas, they are taken seriously. And the colleagues!
Everyone respects each other
Three words that describe the culture at Bohus?
- Fun, equal and unpretentious! he says without hesitation.
- Everyone respects each other, even if we are different.
We all have our moments - like the time he left a satisfied customer, only to get a call 10 minutes later: the machine had stopped.
- I just had to turn around and fix it. When the manager called to ask how it went, well... I was back with the same customer! he says, laughing at the timing.
Sonja - the plant keeper who makes both plants and people feel good
Meet Sonja, one of our green heroes at Bohus. Since 2019, she's been spreading plant power and everyday cheer - and she loves it.
- Working as a plant keeper is the best thing I know!" she says with a smile.
Not only does she get to take care of green leaves and flowering favorites, but she also has the freedom to plan her days, move around, meet new people and discover new environments.
- It's a varied job with great colleagues. There is always something new going on!
Familiar and safe
And the community is something Sonja really emphasizes.
- "There is a family atmosphere at Bohus. You feel safe, are taken seriously, and know that everyone is important. Lunch with colleagues is an important part of the day!
She describes Bohus as a perfect workplace for those who like service and working with people. But not all days are completely "dry". There have been several times when the water hose has come loose from the tap when I'm filling up - then you stand there, soaking wet and with water everywhere!" she says and laughs.
- Then you just have to find a mop.
The mystery of the missing plants...
And sometimes there are real mysteries. Like the time a customer's plants and pots suddenly disappeared without a trace.
- No one knew where they had gone. A month later, I visited the same customer - but in a different town - and there they were! Fortunately, they had survived.
Kenson spreads warmth and strength in Bohus
Meet Kenson, Bohus' strongest coffee technician! For Kenson, family always comes first, but the gym is also a very important place. "If I have to choose? It would be family - most of the time anyway!" he laughs.
The best thing about the job?
- The colleagues! Everyone is so helpful. If you get stuck with a machine and it can't be solved over the phone, someone will come out and help you on site.

It is precisely this feeling that makes Bohus something special. And it is clear that Kenson enjoys it.
- This is the best place I've worked. I tell everyone they should work at Bohus," he says with a smile.
One particular moment that stuck in his mind was when he was working on staircase cleaning and met our CEO at the customer's site. He received an extra personal thank you and appreciation for a job well done.
- I thought it was me who should thank you!
But not every day is perfect. Sometimes you run into problems and make mistakes, but that's when you really appreciate your colleagues who are there with an encouraging word, a smile or a cup of coffee!
